As semi-professional photographers and hobbyists alike, we're firm believers that the most important camera you own is the one you have with you. The more 'shots' we take with the iPhone 4, the more we love the camera and the phone...At the same time, we also find ourselves longing for different types of lens variations without resorting to some sort of post-processed digital wizardry, as you can never increase the field of view or magnification after the image has been captured. Being an incredible camera in its own right, and without the ability to change the native lens, we looked for ways to improve the world we view from the lens forward...and from that the olloclip was born...
The minute you clip-one-on, your imagination will run wild...we guarantee it! In fact, we can't wait to see how the Kickstarter Community captures their world...
Patrick O'Neill, Inventor of the Olloclip(TM): I have had a passion for photography and film since I was young boy. I still have my original Kodak super 8 camera I got when I was 10. I have taken about 250,000 pictures in the last 6 years; getting my first digital camera about 15 years ago, which of course did not have any add-on lenses and was only 640x480, but I loved it and was forever hooked. Creating and designing computer accessories for over 20 years, and smart phone accessories for the past 10, I have always wanted to develop a product that melds my profession with my love of photography.
Patrick was born in Long Beach, CA; lived all over the USA growing up and moved to London to work in the computer industry in his early 20s. He lives in Huntington Beach, California and is a dual national UK/USA citizen.
Chong Pak, Designer: Receiving degrees in both Industrial Design from the Art Center College of Pasadena and an MBA, Chong understands the need for balanced design with the needs of the organization with which he designs for.
